On Saturday 23 March 2019, the new edition of the TEDx LUISS took place on the LUISS Campus in Viale Pola, an event organized by the University students.

On the stage of the Aula Magna, professors, scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs and sportsmen in 5 minutes shared their idea of the future and their Upside Down vision.

Theme of the day, Upside Down - stories of resilience and "alternative" paths to success.

An alternation on the stage of tales of personal work and life experiences: leading personalities from the world of business, entertainment and science have shared ideas of the future, suggestions and inspirations dedicated to the Upside down world.

First level speakers such as the LUISS President Emma Marcegaglia, the founder of Freeda Media Andrea Scotti Calderini, the internationally renowned oncologist Leonardo Pagani, the promise of Italian fashion Violante Nessi and the former leader of the Frecce Tricolori and CEO of MT- Meta Thinking, Massimo Tammaro. These are just some of the names that with their life and career paths have shown how to reverse normality by influencing and inspiring others.

"The first two editions of the TEDx LUISS, Way into the future and (R) evolution, were a success that pushed the University to believe even more in this project, which leads the students to confront and reflect on the great themes of the future through ideas and inspired stories of important people ", commented Giovanni Lo Storto, General Director of LUISS.

PlayWood contributed to the event by creating the layout of the Viale Piola Campus spaces: lounge areas where to chat and exchange opinions, desks and workstations to welcome the numerous participants. When it comes to the lateral approach, simplification and innovation, PlayWood is at the forefront to show what its experience is, offering concrete proof - even to the volunteers themselves who helped in the preparations - of what “smart thinking and making” means.

We are proud to have been part of the project and have been an example of a young, modern and innovative working reality, entirely Made in Italy.
